Zubin Mehenti is a sportscaster and radio host from the United States. He joined ESPN in 2011 and has hosted multiple versions of the channel’s flagship program, SportsCenter. Mehenti previously co-hosted the ESPN Radio morning show Keyshawn, JWill, and Zubin.
Zubin Mehenti was born on August 5, 1978, under the sign of Leo in New Jersey, USA. In an interview with his ESPN friends, he stated that his parents moved to the United States from India in search of better opportunities, and he thanked them for doing so because the country was very kind to them and offered them more than India could.
After graduating from a local high school, Mehenti attended Rutgers University in New Jersey and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science.
After graduation, he began his career in journalism as a producer for the WPIX TV station in New York – but he didn’t stay long, as he was hired as a weekend sportscaster by the WMGM TV station in New Jersey.
His second job was as a weekend sportscaster for WOI TV station in West Moines, Iowa, from 2001 until 2005, when he moved to Fox’s KDVR TV station in Denver for six years. Even though he was happy with his current position, Zubin’s dreams came true when he started working for the ESPN Network in 2011, and he has been hosting their flagship program “SportsCenter” at 7 p.m. ever since.
ESPN is a pay television sports channel in the United States operated by ESPN Incorporated, a joint venture of The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Communications. Bill Rasmussen, his son Scott Rasmussen, and his friend Ed Egan created ESPN Incorporated in 1979.
The network’s headquarters are in Bristol, Connecticut, although it also broadcasts from Miami, New York City, Seattle, and Los Angeles. John Skipper served as ESPN’s chairman from 2012 to December 18, 2017, when he stepped down and was succeeded by James Pitaro on March 5, 2018. There are several issues surrounding the network, which most people see as normal given that ESPN is one of the most profitable sports networks in the US, with the slogan “The Worldwide Leader in Sports.”
