We Suspended Oluwo For Disrespecting Alaafin, Others – Osun Traditional Council

The Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers, on Friday, revealed why it suspended Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi for six months.

In a statement issues over the weekend, the Council said Oluwo’s suspension was borne out of outstanding disciplinary issues and misconduct acts to Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Oluwo of Iwo Oke, Oba Abdulkadir Olatule.

They maintained that the state traditional council cannot afford to fold its hands and allow Oluwo to drag traditional institution in the mud due to his alleged misconduct and indecorum acts.
