WE ARE NOT RESTING –  WELFARE DIRECTOR  TELLS FPE STUDENTS 

FPE PRESS will  continue to have serious concerns about the hassles of school transportation, inaffordability  of school transport, and the lack of transport safeguards for students of great Polytechnic Ede in Osun State .
FPE PRESS Reporter G.song gathered that transportation within  the institution has been difficult as students are seen in large numbers queuing and waiting for buses to convey them to South and north campus of the School.
Speaking to FPE PRESS ambassador, Reporter G.song, a student of Estate management who pleaded anonymity lamented over the transportation crisis opined that “we are facing hell in our campus, going to South campus of the School is not easy at all yet the School and the SU have not been able to provide any remedial measure to relief the pain of the dying students of Federal polytechnic Ede,why are they punishing us” she added that in the break down of the school tuition, they school ardently received huge sum of three thousand five hundred naira (3,500) for transportation related issues yet there haven’t been green light ”
Addressing the transportation issue,the SU Welfare Director in the School in person of Comr. John Legend disclosed to Reporter G.song that “we felt the pain of dear Nigeria Students, measures have been put in place recent times we have not been resting particularly from the office of the Welfare Director, we have been speaking with the Management through the Directorate of student’s affair, to help the transportation situation but you know Rome is not built a day,what we are building today may not be for this present tenure but for future surpass” when asked about the hike and exorbitancy in transport fee, the  welfare Director  rise to the bait by saying “I personally met the south campus students,i felt their pain, we have met with the Directorate of student’s affair for a way forward  ,we discovered that reducing the price is possible but not feasible then if cannot be reduce we are moving wave to reduce the number of student that can be convene in a shuttle, this we are working on, while adding that I believe in confrontation, confrontation stands sure but we have to do consultation to an extent,then if consultation failed we will employ confrontation,he however urge the students to buy the union some time as things will gain its normalcy very soon as great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance.
