Pearl Shongwe was discovered dead in her Waterfall apartment on Tuesday, according to the SABC.
Tuesday, Pearl’s family announced her passing.
According to family spokesman Khehla Tshabalala said in a statement that the woman “died away in her sleep.” Shongwe, according to her family, passed away in her Johannesburg home. The family requests privacy to mourn.

It was revealed that Pearl’s neighbors discovered the dead inside her home and afterward called the police.
Colonel Noxolo Kweja, a spokesman for the police, reported that Midrand police are investigating Shongwe’s death.
