Veteran Zafaran cautions youth against fornication

The Chairman Management Board, Vanguards Academy of Ogun, Dr Zafaran Adeniyi, has urged youth in the country to refrain from illegal relationship – boyfriend / girlfriend that can shatter their academic dreams.
Zafaran made this call at the nineteenth camp of the Muslim students of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin, Lagos held at AOCOED Staff School. He explained connection between keeping illegal relationship and toying with your academics.
He said, ‘The youth of this generation are victims of frivolities like nudism, music, illegal relationship. Thus any student who desires academic excellence must shun fornication and its children’.
‘I believe our youth can rise to develop themselves and face this challenge. However, they are endangered by many factors, but most serious one is social media – it has made them to be lazy and what I tagged digital child’.
‘The second challenge is moral challenge. The society is permissive by way of nudism, drug abuse, cultism and even fornication and the youths are the center of all these. During our days, there exists no white and black television, and when you watch any film they hardly show scene of deep love on the screen – you can only imagine it’.
However, this present youths watch real sex and affection on the screen that will want them to keep partner by any means in order to practice what they have watched. He also urged the film industry to be morally upright in their profession.
‘The present youth watch pornography, films full of real sex. For instance, look at the just concluded ‘Big Brother Naija’, real sex occurred. The dressing of the female leaves no choice for male than for them to be attracted. And when they do, they go into fornication such that they see it as normal thing – sex before marriage.’
He charged the youth to be mindful of their Lord. He said ‘I believe God will judge everyone of us rightly because he has strongly warn us to shun fornication. You can abstain from it by using the social media judiciously.’
The cleric, who spoke on the theme ‘The Glad Tidings’ stressed the need for youth to arrange for marriage if they can no longer control their sexual urge rather than resolving to fornication.
