University of Calabar lecturer suspends over certificate forgery

A Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, University of Calabar (Unical), Dr. Eyo Mensah has been suspended by the administration of the Institution.

Registrar of the University, Mr Moses Abang revealed this in a letter titled ‘Uncertain suspension from the administrations of the University of Calabar’, dated fifteenth May 2018, signed by him.

He said that the Vice Chancellor, Prof Zana Akpagu had requested the prompt and inconclusive suspension of the lecturer.

“I lament to advise you that the Vice Chancellor in exercise of the forces gave on him by the laws of the University has coordinated your quick and inconclusive suspension from the administrations of the University of Calabar.

“The mandate depends on a watchful thought of late advancement for a situation of declaration fraud ensnaring you and for which reason the college has been asked for to discharge you for trial in the official courtroom.

“The case under reference is suit No. HC/MSC.67/2018 under the watchful eye of the High Court of Cross River State of Nigeria in Calabar Judicial division and directed by Hon. Equity Emelia Ibok,” he composed.

He coordinated Dr Mensah to handover all the University properties in his guardianship to the Head of his area of expertise.
