UI Resumes January 18, Cancels 2019/2020 Academic Session

The Senate of the University of Ibadan (UI), has on Thursday approved the reopening of the institution on January 18, 2021 to conclude the 2018/2019 session.

Insideoyo.com recalls that the session which was ongoing before the commencement of the strike action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in March 2020.

According to information gathered, the staff of the University are expected to use a week to process results of the concluded second semester examination and other activities relating to the results will be conducted before the 2018/2019 session formally ends on February 19, 2021.

A new session will commence on February 22, 2021.

It was also gathered that the University has cancelled the 2019/2020 session, which means that the new session to commence on February 22 will be the 2020/2021 session.
