THE DEPLORABLE STATE OF FED POLY EDE SOUTH CAMPUS ROUTE By Reporter G.song

I open this manuscript by saying “Until the great mass of the people shall be filled with the sense of responsibility for each other’s welfarism can never be attained”.

I wish to draw your attention to the deplorable State of federal polytechnic Ede South campus road .

The road has been in a terrible condition for years now, having been neglected untarred by successive administrations in the state.
Its condition was in fact further worsened recently with dust penetration and further compounded the plight of the hapless students of Federal polytechnic Ede who are heading to the south campus for academic activities. Unfortunately as we could have it,even when they step in to address the situation, it ends up as mere palliatives as the jobs are shoddily executed with grading of the road with no tars and no gutters which cannot stand the test of the seasons.

It is quite unfortunate and disheartening that we have that sort of a nightmare of a road in academic environment of a state that prides itself as the land of virtue and excellence in the 21st century.

Frankling speaking, “since an investment in knowledge pays the best interest” the condition of that road is not good for the image of the educational institutions in the environs(federal polytechnic Ede and Adeleke University ) as it portrays the government as not being committed to addressing the plight of the citizenry (students),to Government and people of capacity concern seem least interested in carrying out rehabilitation and carpeting of the road.

Students are concern over the harrowing experiences they go through on the roads, from the dust to the deplorable muddy experiences during rainy season, it goes everywhere, on everything, and you can’t keep it out.
“It’s irritating to the feet, eyes, throat and health.

it is indeed high time the government addressed the situation by rehabilitating that road and, by so doing, give students and residents of the area a new lease of life, also, many hapless students of federal polytechnic Ede and Adeleke University have lost their limbs to motorbike accidents on that road, especially whenever it rains when the condition of the road is always further worsened.

Several other cases “a man fell into a deep gully during rain in the middle of a portion of the road and, in the process, hit his head against a hard object while being rushed to the hospital for treatment”.

The Government and other meaningful philanthropist as a matter of exigency should come to the aid of the students to stop further discomfort.

To this end, I most respectfully implore your Excellencies Dr. Ademola Adeleke and Reputable Dr. Adedeji Adeleke to please use their good offices to rehabilitate that road without further delay so as to end the nightmare of the hapless students of federal polytechnic Ede and Students of Adeleke University .
