At the 2024 Australian Open, Zidansek, a 29th seed reached the third round for the first time, only to lose out to Alize Cornet. Later that same year, she made it to the third round of the French Open, but lost in straight sets to Jessica Pegula.

After saving four championship points and defeating Rebecca Šramková in the final, Zidanšek won the WTA 125 tournament in Bari. The outcome of that result was that, she moved up the rankings by 30 points and into the top 100.
