Super Eagles Striker, Victor Osimhen, Wins Globe Soccer ’Player of The Year’ Award
Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has emerged as one of the winners of the 2022 Globe Soccer award.
Osimhen was named the ’emerging player of the year’ at the 2022 Globe Soccer Awards held at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on Thursday night, November 17.
The 23-year-old Napoli superstar trumped Barcelona’s Gavi and Federico Valverde of Real Madrid to emerge the winner of the prize meant for the best young football talent in the world.
Other footballers who did not make the final list include Hareb Abdullah, Julian Alvarez, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Francisco Conceiçao, Ryan Gravenberch, Josko Gvardiol, Nuno Mendes, Ilaix Moriba, Jamal Musiala, Pedri, Bukayo Saka, and Milan star Rafael Leao.
Announcing Osimhen as the winner of the award on its official Twitter handle, Globe Soccer Awards tweeted;
