Ede Poly Student Apprehended For Stealing Department Television

FPE PRESS Reporter, Miss Ebony gathered that a robbery incident took place today 17th of September 2018 in the department of Library and Information Science, Federal Polytechnic Ede( HOD’s OFFICE), with some set of guys invading the department office and carting away valuables including a Plasma TV.

It was reported that one of them was caught. The caught perpetrator is a ND II student of Survey and Geoinformatics carted away a plasma television in the departmental office.

He was apprehended by the security officials at the school gate while trying to move the stolen television out of the school premises.

A trader at the school gate who witnessed the apprehending disclosed to FPE PRESS correspondent- Reporter Miss Ebony- that the student – thief wanted to take the television out of the school and a receipt to verify ownership was requested by the security.

It was further gathered that the thief presented a fake receipt for the television and was arrested and handcuffed by the security operatives.

Another person while speaking to our correspondent said he wants the police to handle the matter seriously and mete out appropriate punishment to the thief. Adding he hoped others would learn to desist from the act of stealing.

However, further investigation is on by the security operatives to apprehend others involved in the act.
