Student Arrested For Possession Of Gun Inside Class In Ede, Osun

NAIJAPARY FPE PRESS Reporter G.song gathered that a student at a Private Secondary School in Ede (Name of School within) was yesterday apprehended for possession of unlicensed gun .

Police in Ede identified the Lad, he was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun .

The student was caught with the raffle while receiving lecture in his class .

According to the Headteacher of the school who sought for anonymity ,disclosed to NAIJAPARY at the School Premises that though Weapons of any type are not permitted on or near the school and any student caught with a weapon must be referred to law enforcement and punished accordingly but emphasized that the student should be called an ignoramus, he was ignorant of all the offences levied against him, she added that he had before now secured a toy gun from his parents, while stressing that the young boy thought he had a toy raffle with him to School that fateful day .

Similarly, in another brief interview with the Gate keeper of the School, Ademola Yussuf, disclosed to NAIJAPARY that the incident actually happened on Monday, he further stated that aftermath of the incident a Female Student of the School went home telling her Parent the occurrences at School and this brought about reinforcement and a revisit to the case .

However ,Police yesterday Closed down the school till further notice and apprehended the lad parents at Agbale Ede for further interrogation .
