According to social media and news channels, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that Spencer Webb, a University of Oregon football player, died of a head injury after falling near Triangle Lake west of Eugene. Deputies responded around 2.30 pm. 22-year-old Webb, who was in a rock slide area just west of Triangle Lake, died when he fell and hit his head.
