Soldiers Assault Nollywood Actor Chiwetalu Agu For ‘Wearing Biafra Regalia’ (VIDEO)
A video currently trending on social media has shown some men in army uniform assaulting veteran Nollywood actor, Chinwetalu Agu, in Onitsha, Anambra State.
It was learnt that the incident took place on Thursday around Relief Market, opposite Lagos park (Chisco park) in Onitsha.
The video shows the moment the officers forcefully dragged the 65-year-old actor out of a bus and put him on the floor. Watch video HERE.
The bus has the inscription “Chinwetalu Films”, while the actor was adorned in Biafra flag regalia.
An eyewitness told THE WHISTLER that the actor was arrested by the army for wearing the Biafran themed cloth and has been taken to an army barrack around the area.
“There is an army check point near the flyover.
“The military men arrested him because he is wearing Biafran regalia.
“They have taken him to Army Barack.”
In recent times, Anambra State has been in the news over attacks and killings in the state. The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been accused of being responsible.
