Samu Omorodion: Chelsea to Submit Bid for Spanish Forward
Chelsea are aiming to finalize a deal with Atletico Madrid for Nigerian-born Spanish forward Samu Omorodion before the summer transfer window closes.
The 20-year-old forward had a breakout season in 2023/24, netting eight La Liga goals in 34 appearances while on loan at Deportivo Alaves.
Chelsea’s initial offer for Samu Omorodion was rejected earlier in the transfer window, but the club continues to pursue the striker as they seek to complete a deal before the window closes.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea are prepared to submit a €35 million offer for the young forward. This move comes amid ongoing discussions between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, separate from any negotiations involving Conor Gallagher.
The deal would potentially end Chelsea’s interest in Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen, who is expected to leave Italian side Napoli this summer.
Reports indicate that Chelsea is considering a cash-plus-player swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku to bring Napoli’s Victor Osimhen to Stamford Bridge. However, the Napoli star is reportedly ‘unenthusiastic’ about a potential move to the Premier League club.
Omorodion is currently competing for Spain at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, where he scored during the group stage match against Egypt.
