Ruby Akubueze Early Life and Education
Ruby Akubueze was born and raised in Umuahia, Abia State, in a family of six. She had her secondary school education at Saint Joseph College and is a graduate of the University of Lagos, Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts.

Right from a young age, Ruby has always dreamt of becoming an actress right from her early childhood days. She started honing her acting skills in school drama clubs and church. She also joined a theatre house and attended a talent boot camp, working to upgrade her acting skills. She also attended auditions for screen productions in her early teens.
Ruby made her acting debut in the 2013 web series, “Look Beyond”, which was produced by Faith Moyosore. She also appeared alongside popular comedian and actor AY Makun in “Brother LIEnus”. Between 2018 to 2019, Ruby Akubueze portrayed the role of Frances in the popular MTV Shuga Naija series. The role earned her a lot of accolades from many fans of the show all over the world. In 2023, she was featured in the upcoming movie “Ijogbon” which was produced by Kunle Afolayan.
