Ronaldo and his Juventus teammates receive their coronavirus test results and it’s a big one
All first team players of Italian Serie A side Juventus have returned negative results after they were tested for the coronavirus following their return to training.
Serie A chiefs are yet to decide the date in which the league is expected to restart but the league leaders have stated that they will now train in larger groups.
The squad has received a clean bill of health as they prepare ahead of the return of Serie A continue in Turin with Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the last Juve players to re-join individual drills.
Having spent close to seven weeks in his hometown in Portugal, the 35-year-old was subjected to another 14-days self-isolation in Portugal as part of the rules to curb the further spread of coronavirus pandemic.
The former Real Madrid forward was however spotted arriving at the club’s Continassa complex in his black Jeep after a 72-day absence.
He also underwent COVID-19 test before being allowed to use the facilities for an individual workout on the pitch in Turin.
“Yesterday the whole team underwent diagnostic tests, which came back with negative results,” Juventus affirmed in a statement published on the club’s official website.
“Juventus’ training programme continues at Continassa. For several days now, the Juventus players have been carrying out individual training sessions in small groups, all whilst keeping their distance.
“In application of the indications by the FIGC’s Federal Medical Scientific Commission, yesterday, the whole team underwent diagnostic tests which came back with negative results; in the next few days training will resume in larger groups.”

Reports from Sportmail claim players have had conversations with each other and told their managers about resuming in the coming week.
A video conference meeting will be with be held between top English teams in the next few days in a bid to assure players about their safety.
Players will also have the opportunity to talk about their health concerns amid the global pandemic in the meeting before they accept their May 18, training resumption.
Man City’s Sergio Aguero, West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini and Newcastle’s’ Danny Rose are among players that have publicly expressed their concerns about returning amid the pandemic.
Teams are not putting pressure on their players to get back to work but there are concerns that not all stars would resume training.
