Rayan Cherki: Chelsea Exploring Signing of Zidane-like Playmaker

Chelsea are ‘exploring the signing’ of Lyon playmaker, Rayan Cherki.

Cherki has been compared to France legend, Zinedine Zidane for his attacking nature and goal-scoring ability in France.

Football London reports that Chelsea are keen to replace Mason Mount, who is set to join Manchester United and have identified Cherki as a perfect candidate.

Cherki has become a senior player at Lyon.

His signing could be smart business by Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.

At only 19, the France Under-21s international, who can also play out wide, would provide the versatility and quality to improve Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s team next season.
