Porto: Boss Sergio Conceicao sent off for a FOURTH time this season
Feisty Porto boss Sergio Conceicao has continued to prove his hot-headed reputation after being sent off for a shocking FOURTH time this season.
Conceicao has previous for losing his temper, with Chelsea and Manchester City both complaining about the Porto coach – and the club in general – earlier this season.
And this time he had to be dragged away from the referee and his assistants by members of his coaching staff after watching his side fail to beat Moreirense on Monday night.
Seemingly unhappy with a number of decisions from the match, Conceicao approached the referee to make his point, but ended up being hauled away by members of his own coaching staff – while at one stage Pepe also steps in to try and calm his boss.
The draw saw Porto squander their chance to close the gap on Sporting Lisbon to just four points, and perhaps shows why the manager was so incensed.
It is far from the first time 46-year-old Conceicao has seen red this season, with Monday marking the fourth time he has been sent off in the current campaign – a record in the Portuguese top flight.
In fact, both Chelsea and Man City have taken umbrage with Porto this season, having both come up against the Portuguese giants in the Champions League.
