Photos: Nigerian Man Discovers School In Ajegunle Where Kids Pay Fees With Empty Bottle

A Nigerian entrepreneur and humanitarian has discovered a school in Ajegunle, Lagos state where kids of the poor who are unable to pay school fees do so with empty water bottles.

The man known as Oyiga Micheal said students at Merit International pay their tuition with five plastic bottles and he asked for financial assistance on their behalf.

According to him, the kids are asked to come to school every day with five plastic bottles for recycling purposes since their parents have no money.

Oyiga asked well-meaning individuals to support with books, writing materials, socks, and other necessary school items.

He shared photos of the school kids and wrote; “I know we are busy with elections and all, but alright I’ll need your attention. I Visited this school at Ajegunle Yesterday Morit International, where the students Pay their Fees with Plastic bottles. The students are tasked to bring 5 bottles a day to cover for school fees.

The Initiative is amazing as most parents in the area can’t afford to send their kids to school but with this means, they can send all their kids to school for basic primary education.

Therefore in a means to assist this parents and take the pressure a little from them, if you can help with Books, Pens, Bags and socks.. Please reach out.. Or if you can get them, I’ll come pick them up and hand them over. Or you can go to the school to drop them yourself.

Make we Help out, takes an entire Village to raise a kid. Believe we can do something. If you know organizations that can help also, buzz me.. Even if you no fit help, help me Retweet. Let’s do this. Text books.. Pencil.. Note Books.. Biro pen.. Colouring books.. Drawing paper.. Any educational material that can help at least one kid.”
