A 38-year-old man, Salman Umar Hudu, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in Abuja.

The suspect was arrested at a hotel on Tuesday, February 14, for falsely parading himself as EFCC’s Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, as well as other officers of the Commission.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in a statement said the suspect obtained the sum of N100,000 from someone he convinced that he can ‘handle’ any matter with the EFCC.

They have also revealed that the suspect has given full information, and therefore will be charged to court.

“The suspect has given useful information and will be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation,” the statement added.
