PAOK Delay Troost-Ekong’s Arrival for Super Eagles Training Camp for AFCON 2023

Greek Super League outfit PAOK Salonica have reached an agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation to delay the arrival of William Troost-Ekong to the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles will open camp for the competition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday and Troost-Ekong is among the 25 players expected to resume duty.

The NFF has now granted PAOK permission to feature the centre-back in a league game against OFI on Tuesday.

The defender will now report for international duty on Wednesday.

The NFF has also granted goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Samuel Chukwueze permission to join their teammates in camp on the same date following plea by their respective clubs (Omonia Nicosia and AC Milan) to feature them in league and Coppa Italia games.
