Pandemonium In Ile-Ife As Youths Protest Against Killing Of Suspect, Femi Oriyomi In Police Custody
There is pandemonium in Ile-Ife as some angry youths protest against the killing of a middle aged man simply known as Olufemi Oriyomi who was arrested with two others for alleged rituals killings.
According to our source, the suspect, Femi Oriyomi was killed by men of Osun State Police Command officers who invaded Ile-Ife yesterday and arrested Femi and two others for alleged money ritual.
Reacting to the incident, Osun State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Yemisi Opalola yesterday said, the suspect fell sick and was taken to hospital for treatment before he died.
Reacting to the sad incident, some youths invaded the house of the police officer who led the team to arrest the suspects and destroyed his property during the protest.
It was gathered that the angry youths blocked iloro, Moore, Ilode and Enuwa roads, while the police were trying to dispatch them, shooting one person to death.
