Oyo Police To Begin Arrest Of People Unlawfully Covering Vehicle Number Plates

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, Shina T. Olukolu has frowned over unlawful covering of vehicle number plates by some individuals or personalities in Oyo State in flagrance disregard/ disobedience to the laws of the land in spite of several warnings in the past.

SP. Fadeyi Olugbenga, Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Police Command, made this known in a statement made available to Naijaparry News, on Tuesday.

The police authority expressed worry over the trend and resolve to enforce arrest of any individuals caught.

“The Police authority in Oyo State is highly worried by this ugly trend, and have resolved to enforce the arrest of any individuals/ persons caught in this regards.

“As the spread of these act of lawlessness portends great danger to all and sundry in this era of Armed robberies and kidnappings.

Oyo police warned all and sundry in Oyo State once again to desist from this unlawful practice as all the arrested offenders after this warning will be prosecuted.

Also, the Oyo State Police Command urged resident to be alert over rising cases of fire incidents in the State and advice citizens to be wary of these recent occurrences and the need to put stringent measures in place to forestall future occurrence especially during this harmattan season.
