#Osun2018Decides: Gov. Aregbesola Reveals What’ll Happen During Re-Election

The Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has expressed optimism of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will win the next Thursday’s rerun election.

Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led the race with 254,698 votes, 353 votes more than that of Gboyega Oyetola of the APC.

The margin was, however, less than the 3,498 votes in the polling units where voting were cancelled.

Consequently, the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joseph Afuape, declared the poll inconclusive.

Aregbesola, who spoke through his Media Adviser, Mr. Sola Fasure, on Sunday, said;

“We expect to win at the first ballot.

“We believe in the rule of law and due process and democrats, we will abide by INEC’s decision, it is okay by us.

“If there was no cancellation in those areas, we would have won out rightly without the need for the rerun.”
