Osun Gov Election: What Davido Said After Tribunal Declared Adeleke Winner

DMW Boss and multiple-award winner, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has congratulated the people of Osun state following a tribunal ruling that Senator Ademola Adeleke won the 2018 governorship election in the state.

According to the Osun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, sitting in Abuja, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboyega Oyetola, was not validly returned by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Davido, who could not hold back his joy, took to Twitter to celebrate his uncle as well as the people of Osun.

He wrote: “IMOLE TI DE !!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GREAT PEOPLE OF OSUN STATE!”

According to the tribunal, the supplementary governorship elections of 27 September, 2018, held in seven polling units were illegal.

It stated that the exercise was borne out of an illegal cancellation of results in the polling units during the September 22, 2018 original poll.
