One Dies, Four Injured In Motorcycle Accident In Osun (Photo)

A motorcyclist has been reportedly died and four others sustained various degrees of injuries in a motorcycle accident around Adio Area Ilobu, Osun State.

The accident was reportedly occurred around 8am Wednesday morning after two motorcyclists carrying two passengers had a head collision.

Report had it that the motorcyclists who were carrying passengers had a head collision and hit another elderly woman standing by the road side, waiting to board motorcycle.

Eyewitness account revealed that the accident occurred as a result of over speeding and drunkenness.

One of the eyewitness who pleaded anonymous said one of the motorcyclists and his passenger who were suspected to be drunk to stupor were trying to navigate a pothole around Adio Junction of the town, but unknowingly had a head collision with another motorcycle coming ahead of them.

“I was there, one of the motorcyclists was on top of the speed. I know him very well. He and his passenger are friends, they are already drunk I suspect”.

” When the two motorcycles rammed into each other, they hit an elderly woman standing by the road side, waiting to board a motorcycle. We initially thought that the five of them were already dead, but we later rushed them to a nearby hospital after we discovered they are still breathing”.

Investigation revealed that five of the casualties were taken to different hospitals, but one of them was later pronounced dead since he was affected in the head, and has been buried according to Islamic rite.

However, the elderly woman who was also affected in the accident is still lying unconsciously in the hospital where she’s admitted, while the other three are currently in an undisclosed hospitals where they are receiving treatment.
