OAU Suspends Six Students Indefinitely for Alleged Cultism

The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife has allegedly suspended six of her students who confirm their involvement in Cultism.

On 20th, August, the school management released a Notice over the suspension of the students involved in the act, the letter which was signed by the University Registrar, Mrs. Magaret Omosule stated how an information got to the management over two students that were initiated into a cultist group against their will.

Following the information, the management involved the police and after much investigations, twelve students of the institution were nabbed and handed over to the Osun State Police Command. They later affirmed that six of the students reportedly confessed to be members of different cult groups.

As seen in the notice released, the management included the names and Matriculation numbers of the students that has been suspended over breaching their Matriculation Oath, Code of Conduct and other Pertinent Regulations. The Management also used the medium to assure the students of their security
