Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci, To Receive Plot of Land Worth N3.5 million
A Nigerian-owned firm In-Motions Business Limited, has gifted Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, a plot of land for breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual.
The Managing Director Mr. Gideon Ekanem, announced the generous donation of the land worth N3.5 million.
The plot of land, located in Wana Court Green Estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, was presented to Hilda Baci as a token of recognition for her extraordinary achievement in the cooking marathon.
On Monday, 15th of May, Baci, a 27-year-old graduate beat the current record of 87 hours, 45 mins, and she cooked for up to 100 hours before stopping.
Ekanem, in a statement released on Twitter, commended Baci for demonstrating perseverance and determination that propelled her to achieve the historic feat.
He said the company was delighted to honour the chef and highlighted their shared values of diligence and perseverance.
The statement reads; “Hilda Baci embodies the very essence of resilience within our society today. And we wholeheartedly join the entire nation and our fellow Akwa Ibomites in exuberantly celebrating her extraordinary achievement.
“In recognition of the remarkable feat in the cooking marathon, we are delighted to present Hilda Bassey with a free plot of land in Wana Court Estate, the first true green and smart estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.
“May this well-deserved honor serve as a testament to your unwavering determination. The foundation of In-Motions Business Ltd. rests upon the pillars of diligence and perseverance, as we consistently align ourselves with these virtues”.
Baci commenced the four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ on Thursday, May 11 by 4pm at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State and concluded on Monday, May 15th by 8pm.
