#NigeriaDecides: INEC Set To Re-Conduct Elections, See Why

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that fresh elections will be conducted in some wards that had issues with card readers in Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The states INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mr. Mahmoud Isah, made this known in an interview with Channels TV.

He said the elections were inconclusive without the results of those units, adding that the INEC body in Jigawa State had solved 90% of issues related to the card readers in the state.

According to him, “ There have always been issues with every election process but the difference is how the issues are handled.

“Fresh elections will be conducted in some wards that had issues with card readers in Gwaram local Government area of Jigawa State.
