Nigeria Records Over 10,000 COVID-19 Cases, Emerges 3rd Highest In Africa
Nigeria on Sunday recorded 10,162 total cases of COVID-19 from across the country after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported over 307 new cases from across the country.
The latest figure makes Nigeria the country with the third highest number of COVID-19 infections in Africa behind only South Africa – 30,967 and Egypt – 23,449.
The NCDC, in its latest update via its Twitter handle, @NCDCgov, gave the breakdown of the figures as follow:
