NASU, SSANU, NAAT meeting with Nigerian govt ends in deadlock

The strike embarked upon by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) will continue after the meeting with Federal Government officials ended in a deadlock on Tuesday.

Speaking after the meeting, executives of the unions said both parties could not reach an agreement.

The public relations officer of SSANU, Abdussobur Salaam, said leaders of the unions in various branches and institutions have been informed on the outcome of the meeting.

Salaam said: “Our branch leaders have been informed that the strike continues and no stone will be left unturned to ensure full compliance of the strike directive.”
