Naija Super 8: Enyimba Coach, Finidi George Attributes Team’s Poor Performance to Fatigue

Enyimba head coach, Finidi George has revealed that his team need rest ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier League season.

The reigning NPL champions failed to record a win in their Naija Super Eight pre-season tournament.

Enyimba finished bottom of Group A with one point from three games.

The Aba giants lost 2-1 to Katsina United on Tuesday.

Finidi stressed that the rest will help his players reenergize for the new season.

“We need rest. We have to think how we can get some good rest and prepare for next season,” he stated in a post match interview.

“Congratulations to those who have qualified and I wish them the best.”
