Lee had a very successful amateur career, some of his amateur career highlights include winning the 2013 Drummond Junior, the 2014 Drummond Junior, the 2015 Western Australia Amateur, Drummond Junior, Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship, the 2016 U.S. Junior Amateur, the 2017 Western Australia Amateur and the 2018 South Australia Amateur Classic.
Lee turned professional in 2019 and competed on the European Tour. He finished 4th in the Saudi International and tied for 5th in the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth.
Lee ended the season 117th in the Order of Merit. On 9 February 2020, Lee won the ISPS Handa Vic Open, the event was co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia.
On 11 July 2021, won the Abrdn Scottish Open after defeating Belgian Thomas Detry and English Matthew Fitzpatrick in a playoff at the Abrdn Scottish Open. With this win, he earned entry into the 2021 Open Championship.
