Man Uses Fake Facebook Profile To Encourage Men To Rape His Estranged Wife

A man has been jailed after using a fake Facebook profile to encourage men to rape his estranged wife in a sick revenge plot.

Adrian Wilks pretended to be his wife Irina and told the men she “wanted to be raped” as part of “role play”.

The plot saw Wilks tell the men where his wife worked and her car registration so they could meet.

One man even turned up at her work after thinking he had set up a rendez-vous, the Isle of Wight Crown Court heard.

Prosecutor Rod Blain told the court detectives managed to trace the sick website back to Wilks after the pair reported what had happened to police.

Wilks was sentenced to eight months behind bars after admitting two courts of sending malicious communications, The Daily Record reported.

Terrified Ms Wilks was left “haunted” after finding the fake online account that used a “revealing” photograph of herself.

The court had also heard Wilks had sent “intimidating sexual texts” to his estranged wife in the campaign of intimidation after they split up.

In a victim impact statement, Ms Wilks said she was “still haunted”
She said that she had become “hyper vigilant” and struggled to sleep.

Judge Mr Ashworth found Wilks had opened up his wife to risk.
