Man escapes mob action after allegedly turning human to goat

Police at the Rumuokoro Divisional Police Station in Rivers state are investigating a mob action by some individuals against a suspect who is alleged to have transformed a man into a goat.

NAIJAPARY correspondent who was at the Police Station gathered that a thirty six year old man from Etche Local Government Area was seen to be chased by a black goat around Rukpoku community in Obio-Akpor Local government Area.

The unnamed thirty-six year old man was accused of transforming a human to a black goat which led to a mob action.

The man was beaten to pulp until he became unconscious. It took the intervention of security operatives on routine patrol around Rukpoku to bring the situation under control.

The police patrol team took the victim, the goat and two others to Rumuokoro Area Command where the victim regained consciousness where he narrated to the Police that the goat was his pet.

“I was strolling out of my compound only to realize that my goat was following. Usually, it follows me whenever I am going out because I use to buy biscuit for it but this time I didn’t want it to follow me so I decided to run and try to dodge it. The goat’s name is Remember.

“I was surprised that people now thought I changed a human being to goat. How is that possible?” he queried.

The victim, goat and two of the mobs are still being held at the Police Station. A senior police officer at the Rumuokoro police station said that investigation has commenced to unravel the true circumstance of the bizarre incident.
