Lil Kesh Early Life and Education
Ololade hails from Bariga, a neighborhood within Lagos State, where he spent his formative years. He completed his primary and secondary education at Stockbridge College before pursuing a degree in Linguistics at the University of Lagos.
Subsequently, he furthered his education by enrolling in the National Open University, where he pursued mass communication through online courses.

His musical journey commenced in 2012 when he began rapping among his peers in Bariga. Not long after, he unleashed his debut single “Lyrically,” which swiftly gained popularity within Nigerian universities. Following this success, Lil Kesh signed a contract with YBNL Nation, an independent record label founded by Olamide Adedeji in 2012.
Under the YBNL Nation banner, Kesh delivered a string of hit singles, including “Shoki,” “Efejoku,” and “Gbese.” He also released his inaugural studio album, titled “YAGI.” In 2014, “Shoki” took the music scene by storm, topping various charts and propelling him into the spotlight. His musical prowess led to multiple award nominations, of which he clinched two.
In 2015, he received a nomination for Best New Act at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. Following his association with YBNL Nation, Lil Kesh, in 2016, established his record label known as YAGI Records, an acronym for “Young And Getting It.” This venture was managed by the Massive Management team, a marketing and event management company.
On March 17, 2016, Lil Kesh dropped his debut studio album, “Young And Getting It” (Y.A.G.I) under YBNL Nation. The album, produced by Young John and Pheelz, featured vocal contributions from Phyno, Ycee, Wale, Patoranking, Adekunle Gold, Davido, Viktoh, Olamide, and Chinko Ekun, encompassing elements of hip-hop and rap.
