Late Registration Penalty Fee: Ede Poly Student Union Reacts
The students union press statement read thus;
The attention of the students’ union government has been drawn to the penalty fee attached to the late registration process in our prestigious citadel of learning.
Sequel to the information received and confirmed by the students union government that the school portal has been closed, we have taken steps as a government of the students deeply rooted in the interests of students and their welfare as our priority.
We appeal to the management of our prestigious Polytechnic community to extend this registration process and consider the plights of Nigerian students who are members of the students’ union government. To us as duly elected leaders of the union, we refuse to fold our arms and see the portal closed.
We have earlier recieved complains from students on the slow pace of banking processes in banks, maltreatment of students and stress they passed through in departments and faculties. As a body of students’ interest, we can not shy away from these visible issues and we therefore put forward a consideration of postponement of registration process and appeal to management to look into it.
As we appeal for consideration of postponement, we also implore students to put in more energies to fast track registration processes.
Therefore, I want to use this medium to inform the student’s community of Federal polytechnic ede, not to make any payment until the union leadership gives further directive.
Let me clearly state vividly that the government of the students remains the conscience of the students. Our union is not a biased one. The interest of the students is paramount and we shall always stand with clear interests of the students.
