Lagos Storm Uproots AOCOED Trees (Photos)

The heavy rain experienced in Lagos State on Tuesday, 8th May, 2017 has claimed the existence of three trees in Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education very closed to the college pitch.

The trees that served as a resting garden for some AOCOED students were found laying down helplessly on Friday due to Lagos stormy weather. One of the students of the college, Nasiru Mariam, told NAIJAPARY that she was really amazed seeing the fall of the trees while the roof of the building close to it remains in tact.

She said, ‘I was amazed when I saw those trees owing to the stormy weather experienced in the previous day. Some areas in my hostel also lost their roofs to it.’

A student of ‘Supreme Pillars college’ in area of Badagry, AbdulSamod Jakari also complained of the storm. ‘The storm took away our class roof and opened ground for some students to make noise in the school. Although, it does not disturb our learning as our teachers employed other method to teach us’.

On the issue of weather in Lagos, expert said Lagos among others will seldomly experience such because Lagos storm is 27 ° C while humidity remains 86%.
