Kidnapped Bayelsa Commissioner’s Father Regains Freedom

Kidnappers have released Chief Agbabou Week, father of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Agriculture, Doodei Week.

Naijaparry understands that the monarch was dropped at the riverside town of Amassoma in Southern Ijaw council area and disappeared into the maze of creeks.

Recall that unidentified gunmen on October 3 abducted the traditional ruler and whisked him away from his country home at Ayama-Ijaw to an unknown destination.

It was learned that the Ebenanaowei of Tarakiri Clan was kidnapped about 11:20 pm by seven masked men, who carried weapons including AK47 rifles.

The assailants ransacked the palace of the king carting away television sets, jewellery, and other valuables.
