JUST IN: APC Releases Timetable For Primary Elections Nationwide
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the review of the timetable for the conduct of the 2018 primary elections of the party.
By the original schedule, presidential primaries were to hold on September 20, while appeals that may arise from the conduct were to be heard on September 22.
September 25 was fixed for governorship primaries, while September 26 to 27 were fixed for the hearing of appeals that may arise from the conduct.
September 28 to 30 was fixed for the hearing of appeals that may arise from all legislative primaries, and the national convention was to hold on October 6 to ratify the party’s candidate for the 2019 presidential election.
However, by the new schedule, released on Wednesday by Emma Ibediro Esq., National Organizing Secretary of the party, the presidential primary election has now been fixed for September 25.
Governorship primary election will now hold on September 29, while the Senate primary elections will hold on October 2.
October 3 will witness the House of Representatives primary elections, while October 4 will be for state houses of assembly primary elections.
The national convention (presidential) will hold on October 6 to bring the curtain down on the party’s internal processes for selecting its candidates for the 2019 general election.
