JUST IN: Ajimobi To Be Buried In One Of His Houses, Not Mosque
The remains of former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi would not be interred at his mosque again.
This was announced by his Special Adviser on Community Relations, Alhaji Siyanbade in a statement on Saturday morning.
ngnews247.com reports that Ajimobi’s media aide, Bolaji Tunji announced that the remains of his principal would be interred at his Central Mosque in Oke Ado.
However, Siyanbade stated that “prayers would only be offered by a few invited clerics and close family members in the Mosque.”
“We are very mindful of all the protocols and the limitations on social gathering, which we will never run foul of.
“The information that came out was only meant not to keep us all in the dark,” Siyanbade, who is also the Secreatary of MUSCOY, wrote.
“May Almighty Allah reward us all and accept the return of our brother, Sen. Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi,” he added.
The remains of the former governor would however be interred at one of his houses.
ngnews247.com reports that Ajimobi died in Lagos on Thursday after a brief illness.
