She is also best known as Dina in the film “School Daze” (1988), among numerous other roles that she’s secured throughout her career.
Jasmine has turned 60 this year, and is still actively pursuing new roles. Her most recent appearance was in the TV thriller movie “Vanished: Searching for My Sister” (2021), which stars Tatyana Ali and Carolyn Hennesy.

Concurrently, Jasmine featured in several projects while in “A Different World”; in 1988, she appeared in Spike Lee’s comedy-drama film “School Daze”, starring Laurence Fishburne, Giancarlo Esposito and Tisha Campbell, and in 1989, she co-starred next to Eddie Murphy, Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor in the Academy Award-nominated comedy crime-drama film “Harlem Nights”.
She also starred in the television drama movie “Runaway” the same year, and in the following year in the television thriller drama movie “A Killer Among Us”, with Anna Maria Horsford and Mykelti Williamson.
The following year, Jasmine featured in the TV mini-series “Queen”, then she starred in the film “Klash” in 1995. She continued with minor roles in the second half of the decade, and ended the ’90s with the role of Linda in the romantic-drama film “Guinevere”.
