Insecurity: How I Foresaw Herdsmen Menace, Kidnappings In Yorubaland – Fayose

A former Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose has revealed that he warned Yoruba leaders about kidnappings and alleged herdsmen killings but was not taken seriously.

Naijaparry understands that governors of Nigeria’s South Western states as well as leaders of the region have raised the alarm over killings by suspected herders.

They have now vowed to tackle it headlong and warned herdsmen to fish out perpetrators of the alleged killings.

In a tweet on his handle, Thursday, Fayose warned that Nigeria will be overpowered by banditry if not tackled immediately.

“I warned against kidnappings & herdsmen menace now bedevilling the S/West & Nigeria long ago,” he said.

“We have now become conquered people & we will remained (sic) defenceless except our leaders & Govs desist from wanting to be seen as ‘Cabal Yes Men’ at the expense of the well-being of the people,” he said.
Fayose will be re-arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday at the Federal High Court in Lagos over an alleged N6.9 billion fraud.
