“I Didn’t Know She Was Going to Pass On” – Actress Funke Akindele Emotional As Dedicates New Movie to Late Mother

Nollywood actress and box office queen, Funke Akindele has dedicated her latest movie, A Tribe Called Judah to her late mother.

On Sunday, December 10, the actress hosted the premiere of her highly anticipated movie, which attracted the attention of numerous celebrities.

The premiere of the movie A Tribe Called Judah brought together the crème de la crème of the entertainment world.

Never one to be outdone, Funke threw a lavish premiere party for her latest production.

The presence of celebrities from various sectors of the entertainment industry honoured the filmmaker at the event.

A number of celebrities attended the event, including Ini Edo, Phyna, Shaffy Bello, Adunni Ade, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Faithia Williams, Ruth Kadiri, Juliana Olayode, Ali Baba, and Hilda Dokubo.

Speaking at the movie’s premiere, she disclosed that she wrote the script without realizing her mother would pass away.

Funke Akindele wrote the screenplay prior to her mother’s passing in February, and she characterized the movie’s plot as passionate.

She gave it her mother’s blessing and encouraged everyone to watch the film and recommend it to others, stressing the need for practitioners to come together and collaborate as a team.
