How Friends Gave Me Bad Advice – Singer, Lyta Speaks On His Rise and Fall After Leaving YBNL

Nigerian Afropop artiste, Lyta, born Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim, has spoken on the challenges he started encountering following decisions he made as a promising artiste.

He said people gave him advise which he should not have taken as an upcoming artiste but he was young and naive.

According to him, when he released his breakout hit song, ‘Time’ featuring Olamide, he allowed friends in the industry get to his head with their talks.

Lyta, who was formerly signed to YBNL Nation said things started to go awry for him when he left the Olamide-owned label after listening to advice.

The ‘Worry’ singer, however said that though Olamide unfollowed him on Instagram, there is no bad blood between them as he has a cool relationship with his former boss.

Lyta also said that he does not blame himself for the bad decisions because he believes that upcoming artistes are meant to experience such so that it will teach them a live lesson.

The singer also reiterated his appeal to Olamide that he wants to be back to YBNL.
