Halimatu Ayinde was born on May 16, 1995, in Kaduna State, located in the Northern part of Nigeria.
She began her early education in Kaduna where she was born and grew up with her parents and siblings.

Halimatu Ayinde made her move to the American team Western New York Flash from the Nigerian domestic team Delta Queens on June 15, 2015.
She marked her debut with a start in the 1–0 loss against the Houston Dash, where she was substituted in the 79th minute.
After a season with the team, during which she appeared in nine matches, including five as part of the starting lineups, she was released on May 12, 2016.
Ayinde acknowledged underperforming in her first season with the Flash but expressed her belief in improvement during the 2016 preseason, demonstrating her capabilities by scoring against the University of Vermont’s A team.
However, this did not secure her selection for the Nigeria women’s national football team, as she was not chosen for a match against Senegal
Subsequently, she joined FC Minsk of the Belarusian Premier League later that same year, making her debut in a 3–0 victory over Bobruichanka Bobruisk on September 2.
During the match, Ayinde was one of three Minsk players to score and went on to feature in their UEFA Women’s Champions League games.
Her impressive form continued in her initial matches, notably scoring the lone goal in an away match against Nadezhda SDJuShOR-7 Mogilev in her third game for Minsk.
Ayinde was part of the Nigeria national team at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and contributed to the winning squad at the 2014 African Women’s Championship.
