Ghanaian Feminist Questions Rita Dominic For Changing Her Surname On Social Media Hours After Wedding

A Ghanaian feminist, Dinah Antwiaa Twumasi, has raised questions about the decision of Nigerian actress, Rita Dominic to add her husband’s surname to hers on social media hours after tying the knot.

The movie star and her hubby, Fidelis Anosike held their white wedding in the United Kingdom over the weekend and it was glamorous.

After the occasion, Dominic updated her name to Rita Dominic Anosike on her social media pages and this triggered Dinah.

She took to her Twitter page and wondered why the Nollywood diva who is a global brand would change her name to be called Mrs Fidelis Anosike.

The feminist posed a general question as to why the woman always has to be the one to let go of some aspects of her personal life after marriage.

In a now-deleted tweet, she wrote; ”Just hours after her white wedding, a household name, a global brand Rita Dominic is now called Mrs. Fidelis Anosike! Why, why must women always have to be the ones letting go after marriage?”
