FUEL SCARCITY BROUHAHA By Reporter G.song

Good morning I said to an intimate fury friend, guess the reply?

“What’s good about the morning ” we say Merry Xmas but is it really merry? Merry in scarcity? and apparently without media pooh pooh are we crossing over the year in agony again? Then we need a Moses with the rod.

The alarming fuel scarcity brouhaha is not a bantering, but an act of depriving and dispossessing…

We are acclimated to deprivation of common commodity, Nigerians stands out in the rain long enough yet we couldn’t see the trace of a rainbow, because we cannot outlast our challenges we have remained afloat.

Nigeria, a nation where only the small fry get suffered, lived with heart in the mouth, Ostensibly Nigeria is blessed, with no beguilement our balance of payment at the end of every year shows that we broke even then, reader, Nigeria is considered one of the biggest oil production players in Africa.

Nigerian Government is largely dependent on the Crude Oil that the oil and gas sector accounts for about 35 per cent of gross domestic product, and petroleum exports revenue but unfortunately invariably Good citizens should take the part of a good Government by speaking in support when it is being attacked but not this time of fuel scarcity brouhaha which has emanated the wail of the huge air laid siren, Nigerians, “our butcher now eats the bone portion of our meat”.

The fuel Scarcity brouhaha and experiences are horrendous, Nigerians have had tales of woe to tell, our Productive hours being halted, our productive hours are lost to searching for elusive fuel, the Government chose to play politics with the pain of Nigerians, issuing fatuous orders and giving hollow promises government must act fast before things get out of hand.

What makes the current fuel scarcity crisis particularly disturbing and abhorrent with no room for amelioration is that it has coincided with very hard times, for workers.

In many states across the country, such as Osun, Oyo, Imo e.t.c, salaries an anodyne to the saga tarries, workers are being owed months of salary arrears, workers being financially reduced to mendicanc.

Nigeria Government have failed in terms of welfarism, here is a zero tolerance,a Government waging war over the one billion dollars insurgency fund to fortitude their own selfish interest, government must therefore espies welfarism as a priority, raise their game now and ensure that the quagmire situation does not extend into the new year.

However, what Nigerians wants can only be guaranteed when the petroleum sector is fully deregulated.
