FPE SU : DANLAB’S ADMINISTRATION LINKED WITH  FRAUDULENT FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES By Reporter G.song 

Let me open my script by saying “there are a thousand thoughts lying within a man that man does not know till one takes up a pen to write”

My pen is the tongue of minds of the Federal Polytechnic Ede students, to hold the pen is to be at war, one script, one pen, can change our world .

The leadership of Comr. DANLAB is directly mismanaging and pocketing the funds of the Union .

It is abysmal that our SU executives do not know the key objectives for which the union was established. This is why the student government see the freedom they enjoy as an opportunity to enrich their personal pocket.

The SU leadership led by Comr. Danlab is under fire this time for allegations of fraudulent financial activity and misuse of funds . The union having budgeted fund for developmental projects failed to execute null, having no significance,having no value judgment of the superior worth or influence and no important in effect. The conundrum remains of Danlab’s administration what is noteworthy?

The Student’s Union Representative Council (SURC) in Federal Polytechnic Ede in her sitting held yesterday, upon deliberations on the progressive report,there was allegations of financial misappropriation, embezzlement of union funds and crass incompetence put before it,having had before it, indubitable evidence of embezzlement of funds to the tune of huge sum of amount of money by the SU social director Oluyede Ayomide Don Richie and the Sport director Oyesomi Oluwatowo,the duo who failed to present a codified copy of their progressive report were not only alleged of financial misappropriation but also guilty of crass negligence and ineptitude on the part of the Union.

The social director oluyede Ayomide Don Richie blatantly failed to organize the most social function(TGIF) having budgeted for the events but instead enriched his egoistical pocket .

In the Process of inquiry, it is obvious that the office of social director and sport director allegedly spent money from the union’s account without authorisation and failed to judiciously use the fund for what is it meant for . However Member of the SURC and worthy observers complained that the speaker Hon. Rahmon has been bribed several times as not to have emphasis on the crux of matters in the house.

“If something can corrupt you, you’re corrupted already” Students of Federal polytechnic Ede are not half-wit,having seen the executives roles in pilfering the union funds.

I writes as an oracle for the Nigerian students “Corruption is like a devil-fish with huge tentacles which reaches almost all areas of our life” If the SURC fail to discharge their duty judiciously by ordering a refund of union treasuries from all failed offices back to the union account, given 72 hours ultimatum, then we challenge the Directorates of student’s Affair to act as a law enforcement agency to investigate, prosecute and penalize any executive of the student’s Union found guilty of financial misconduct or we take laws into thy hand by calling for Congress and as well get the involvement of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, where the disciplinary body will mandate the SU to submit financial reports of the Union for public information and probe.
